We were invited by Resort Marketing to help reimagine the first Weymouth Seafeast for its new seafront location. Working collaboratively, we developed a fresh masterplan and dynamic visitor layout that transformed an otherwise featureless car park into a legible and engaging festival environment.
The new design carefully choreographed stall placement and visitor movement to encourage exploration and dwell time. When viewed from above, the layout subtly forms the shape of a fish, a playful reference to Weymouth’s maritime heritage that also gave the site a strong organising structure. Despite the ongoing challenges presented by the relocated site, the event has been positively received, and with Seafeast, renamed Dorset Seafood Festival, is due to return in 2026; the project continues to evolve as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the festival’s identity and visitor experience.
