The Second World War is often told through dates, battles, and statistics, but its true impact is found in the personal stories behind the conflict.
This project was developed to move beyond a purely military narrative and instead foreground the lived experiences of those affected by the war. Drawing on original objects, firsthand accounts, and carefully crafted environments, World War Two: War Stories invites visitors to connect with the human realities of a global conflict that shaped everyday life both on the front line and at home.
Our approach focused on storytelling as the driving force of the exhibition. By combining authentic artefacts with immersive design and accessible interpretation, the space creates moments of empathy, reflection, and discovery. The result is an exhibition that not only informs but also resonates emotionally, ensuring that the voices, choices, and sacrifices of a wartime generation remain relevant to audiences today.
